Location LMI Waivers in Sydney's Premium Suburbs
In Sydney's premium postcodes, Eastern Suburbs, Lower and Upper North Shore, Northern Beaches, Inner West, certain lenders offer a location-based LMI waiver for borrowers with a minimum loan of $2M. This allows buyers to purchase with 10% deposit and pay zero LMI, saving $85,000–$190,000+ depending on the property value.
The location LMI waiver is one of the most underutilised strategies for prestige Sydney buyers. Most buyers assume that if they don't have 20% deposit, they'll pay significant LMI. In many premium postcodes, that's simply not the case, the location waiver is available, the lender just needs to be the right one.
