  • Savings: Current savings balance and how long you've held them
  • Debts: Credit card limits, personal loans, car loans (balances and repayments)
  • Property: Target suburb, property type and approximate price range
  • Current loan: If refinancing, your current rate, balance, lender and remaining term

When Did You Last Review Your Home Loan Rate?

If the answer is more than two years ago, there is a fair chance you are paying the loyalty tax. As a guide, a 0.50% rate cut on a $600,000 loan saves about $181 a month. John checks your exact numbers for free, and if staying put is the right call, he will say so.

Contacting Lend and Loan, Common Questions

How quickly will I get a response?
We aim to respond the same business day where possible. If you need an answer urgently, call 02 8046 3933 during business hours and you will usually reach us straight away.
What should I prepare for the first call?
Nothing is mandatory for the first chat. If you want to make it more productive, have a rough idea of your deposit and goal, plus photo ID, recent payslips or income documents, and loan statements if you are refinancing. We can gather everything else as things progress.
What does the free consultation cover, and is there any obligation?
There is no fee and no obligation. We discuss your goals, review your borrowing position, and outline the loan options that could suit your situation. You decide whether to proceed, and nothing is lodged without your approval.
Can I meet in person, or is everything done online?
Both. Most clients prefer phone or video meetings, and we can also meet in person at our office at Level 35, 100 Barangaroo Avenue, Sydney NSW 2000. Choose whatever is easiest for you.
What is the home loan loyalty tax?

It is the gap between the discounted rates lenders advertise to new borrowers and the higher back-book rates existing customers quietly drift onto. The longer you stay, the wider it tends to get. Refinancing, or the credible threat of it, is how borrowers claw that margin back.

Can I get cash out when I refinance?

Yes, if you have enough equity. A cash-out refinance increases your loan against your property's current value and releases the difference for renovations, investment or debt consolidation, subject to lender assessment. John settled multiple seven-figure cash-out refinances across Sydney in 2026.
